These are my top 8 bags I’m reaching for this summer

A week or so ago my girlfriend made a very personal comment about my handbag.

Can you guess her comment?? She is that “1 bag’ all season girlfriend. One bag all season.

Hello!!!

I know she is terribly lazy, but really you never, and I mean never, change your bag?

I personally find that a no no. How does one bag travel with all your fashion moods??

Not to mention work or play. We definitely need to rotate and rotate.

I am for sure that girl, constantly creating changes to all my looks, with ALL my accessories.

And that includes my bag selects. Now you might question my rotation.

Please don’t judge as I have actually tried to keep it simple. An eight bag rotation per month.

Of course there are exceptions to my line up. Sometimes!!

FYI never colour coded.

I just evaluate my RTW of the season, and make sure my selects are easily accessible.

Usually my front closet. So these are my top 8 bags I’m reaching for this summer.

Side note - because l often feature vintage bags, I should also mention that all these babies are new and available.

So for all the girls that cringe when l DM back-not available, don’t worry I’m not going to say it’s vintage!!

NUMERO UNO

My newest (and possibly favourite addition)

The Jil Sander bamboo Goji bag. In black it reads modern classic.

Truthfully though l will wear it all year round.

Love also that even if a smaller size l can fit a reader, a lippy, keys, and most importantly a cc.

It’s capiente!!!

NUMERO DUE

This bag has been an unexpected addition to my summer closet.

You have seen me wear it regularly this spring, especially when flower shopping.

So it is primarily a raffia bag, but trimmed in real leather.

Tres chic.

Of course the brand is French, Polene!

A brand that has line ups - I swear- in Paris, around the block!!!

It’s so so good for a day bag, shopping bag or beach bag.

Take your pick. For a raffia bag it’s super easy to manage.

However have to highlight what really sold me was the quality.

Super excellent and super well priced!!!

Please note l went for the large size in this style.

NUMERO TRE

I’m obsessed with this RTW brand.

I have quite a few pieces of clothing.

They never disappoint.

It’s called Source Unknown.

Everything they do is so cool.

I can be cool at sixty four, right!!!

Age is just a number, my motto.

Source always provides great quality/ great prices.

Why did l choose this style bag?

I felt like l really needed a chocolate brown bag in my rotation this summer.

I did not have this shape, and loved its lady like yet practical vibe. So I ordered it.

The bag works day to night and because it’s croc embossed, totally reads LUX.

Loads of compliments ✔️✔️

NUMERO QUATTRO

Of course I had to mention her. MIZ RODEO.

To me, my Balenciaga Rodeo bag is quite honestly designer perfection.

Again l decided on sizing up, to the largest size.

I guess it’s a trend of mine, bigger is better for day…. And sometimes per una serata.

It’s the kind of a large size in a bag that doesn’t take over, if you know what l mean.

I have styled the smaller Rodeo version in white too.

But back to why this bag is a great designer investment.

My Rodeo has over the last few months, become my most used work/travel bag.

So l am rotting it into summer too!!

Again l love the softer leather in this style, and the colour black.

Yes, black l know - could be boring - but here you can’t go wrong- especially as this is not a small 🤑purchase.

NUMERO CINQUE

Nothing reads summer more than a white/cream bag.

At first l hesitated on the size, not sure if l should have ordered the bigger size.

But in this size, this bag reads a unique shape. And l am loving it more and more.

The bag is by DEMELLIER.

It has beautiful gold detail and if l am walking a lot, it can also go cross body.

It’s a peepled leather so very durable.

I actually can’t wait to wear it on rotation this summer.

NUMERO SEI

If you’re in the mood for a pop of colour ragazzi no worries, I have some really good options for you!

I worked with MULBERRY a while back , and since have been using this gorgeous blue Mini Mulberry bag.

Wish I had this bag a year ago when in OZ.

It has a removable strap but I love to carry her top handle when I’m in my Lady Lisa mood.

NUMERO SETTE

VERIFIED is a new brand for me.

I have been told that all the chic younger NYC girls are carrying the brand. Of course they are it Verified NYC too!!

This colour you see is really rich. Green is unusual for a clutch.

Love a bit of dramma especially when I take this bag out to my regular patio. The bag gets noticed.

Please note that l deliberately purchase all my bags different in shapes, and colours because they will serve different purposes.

NUMERO OTTO

Finally if you’re looking for a quality tote, I love this one by Mishino.

A tote is always an essential in a closet.

I prefer no branding, something that reads quiet Lux.

Durability is key in a tote as it generally is the bag that travels car, subway, boat, etc etc you get my drift.

This olive colour makes it interesting, but still so versatile that it can work with a broad colour scheme, and honestly l didn’t want another black bag this summer.

Because many of you have asked l am going to always link everything when l am making style suggestions for you.

Just makes it easier. Less messaging on the digital.
